Mr. Bernard studied intensively the northern Cha Chuan system under the guidance of Master Xu Gong Wei. Sifu Bernard has been to Malaysia on a few occasions to with White Crane grandmaster Lee Kiang Ker and lee Joo Chian. He is presently at the Academie Shaolin White Crane in Montreal and Laval as well as for the Athletics dept. in Concordia University. Sifu Bernard and his students have won many medals in various international tournaments and his Fukiense Lion Dance troupe is well known throughout North America. He is the current President of the Eastern Canada Chinese Martial Arts Federation and has played a prominent role in promoting traditional Chinese martial Arts throughout Canada.

White Crane Kung Fu is a rare system of self-defenses that combines foot techniques, hand techniques and chin na (seizing and controlling). It also combines defense and attack, soft and hard power, and uses firm yet evasive footwork. The system stresses empty hand as well as weapons training, two-person sets, self-defense drills and frees sparring. Shaolin White Crane Kung Fu focuses on pressure point strikes in combat. This makes it an extremely effective and realistic self-defense method.

Sifu Lorne Bernard will be performing Fukinese Lion Dance and White Crane Kung Fu
