Ving (Wing) Chun
Sifu John Peluso
Ving
Tsun is a relatively simple system based on natural movements of the human body.
This traditional Martial Art takes its name from the woman who devised the system
and principles over three hundred years ago in mainland China. It relies on the
efficient use of body position and movement without the use of unnecessary force.
It is a complete system that builds on three hand forms, a wooden dummy form and
two weapon forms. Learning the system begins with an introduction to the basic
principles of movement, balance and sensitivity. This enables the student to progress
to a point where the art becomes an expression of the student. Whatever your reasons
for studying the art of Ving Tsun, you will find it a simple and logical method
of self-defense.
Sifu John Peluso has been studying various martial arts since 1968. In 1984, he
discovered the Ving Tsun System of Kung Fu that opened the door to new awareness
of simplicity in style. Sifu Peluso began his studies under the direct guidance
of Sunny Tang (Dunn Wah), who is an internationally respected Master of Ving Tsun.
Presently, Sifu Peluso holds a fourth degree Gold Sash in Wing Chun. After relocating
to Ottawa, Sifu Peluso began instructing Ving Tsun to the community. The school
is affiliated in good standing with the Sunny Tang Kung Fu Schools (STKFS) headquartered
